So, AT&T failed at its attempt to sue the pants off Verizon for those “There’s a Map for That” ads. This doesn’t mean they’re throwing in the towel. In fact they’re tossing in Luke Wilson in an ad called “Side-by-side” (embedded below.)
The ad features Luke in the middle of an abandoned warehouse (surely empty because AT&T’s sales are so incredible.) He’s got a bunch of magnetic Xs, which he will use to illustrate which company is the best in each contest. Of course, AT&T picked the contests and ignored any that might reflect badly on them.…
Verizon just has the better ad. It’s witty and simple, where this one is forced. I don’t even know why they hired Luke Wilson. And of course the jab at the end just seems like bad sportsmanship. Boo, AT&T. Boooooo.
